William Clark

I, Bonnie Clark Gundlach and John Clark are very honored to write William “Jiggs” Curtis Clark Sr.’s obituary.

William Curtis Clark Sr. loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on September 4, 2026 after a long illness.

William was born February 15, 1964 to Charles and Rebecca (Melbourne) Clark. He was number 7 out of 9 children. As a child William worked with his siblings in their father’s garden. William and his brothers also worked with their father at the Sprole elevator. William was known as “Jiggs” to all his family and friends.

William joined the National Guard right out of High School. He was very proud of this. He also worked in the oil fields with his father and older brothers.

He worked with a seismography crew with his older brothers and this is where he got hurt and wasn’t able to work again.

William moved to Miles City, MT and lived in group homes until he was able to live on his own. The Eastern Montana Mental Health helped William tremendously he was able to live on his own. The staff there gave him the support and love to be independent. They truly are amazing people.

William fell and couldn’t live on his own anymore, he moved to Skyline Heights Nursing and Billings Rehab Nursing in Billings, MT. Both nursing homes gave William the loving care that he needed. Stillwater Hospice was also really compassionate and caring to him. His nephew John Deacon Gundlach was a god-send to him as John would visit him and get things he needed.

William is survived by his adult children William Jr. and family, Sierra and family, Kristin and family. Siblings James (Alice) and family, Sister-in-law JoAnne and nephew Ben, Bonnie (Vinson) and family, John (Gwen) and family, Joyce (Russ) and family, Robin and family, Sister-in-law Ronnette and family. Half siblings Karen, Debra, Margaret and Curtis. Nephews – Tom Clark Jr and family, Chuck Clark and family.

William was preceded in death by his brothers Charlie, Tom (Linda), David, his nephews Christopher Melbourne, Charles (Chaz) Clark and his niece Ashta Clark.

We would like to thank everyone for the kindness and love shown during his journey. Jiggs is now at peace and is not suffering anymore!

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday, September 11 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. We are honoring Williams request to no services and to be cremated with ashes to be spread out at Riverside cemetery and family home. As Jiggs would say, “Kapish”.
