April 18, 1968 — June 1, 2019

Thomasyna Kymberli Dupree passed away on June 1, 2019 in Wolf Point, Montana. Syna was born on April 18, 1968 to Winona Angeline Iron Cloud and Everett Earl Chamberlin in Poplar, Montana.

Syna, raised by her grandmother, Grandma Lizzie, lived and resided in Poplar, Montana most of her life. As an enrolled member of Fort Peck Tribes, her culture was important to her.  She was an Oil Celebration Princess Attendant in 1981.  Syna loved to fancy shawl dance and competed in many competitions. She attended Poplar High School and Fort Peck Community College, studying Accounting.

She was a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Syna is survived by her sisters Patricia Iron Cloud and Ella Dupree, her brother Dallas (Laurie) Dupree Sr., her children Landon Thomas Dupree, Scott Jordan Kohl, Ryan Wade Dupree, Myron Wayne Red Eagle II, Zach Tyler Red Eagle, Josh Duran, Mahlani (Chunky) Kataya Red Eagle, Cheri Cruz Granbois, and Layla Monique Granbois, grandchildren Zandon, Wayne, Tanner, Titan, Ryan, Madison, Niyah, Mihalyna, Malik, and Urijah, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She loved to joke and laugh with loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and she treasured moments with her grandchildren. She enjoyed good music, good food, and good times with her family and friends. She instilled many important values and lessons in those she loved. Syna did her best to make each one of her children feel very important. She had struggles of her own but made sure to remain strong through it all.  She is deeply loved and missed by all of those who knew her. She will forever remain in our hearts and in our minds. The memory of her laugh and smile continue to bring joy and cherished recollections. Her children know their mother is resting in the safe arms of Our Creator and she will forever watch over them and her grandchildren. Rest in peace Syna mommy, grandma, auntie, cousin, and friend.  You are God’s Angel now.
