The world lost a beautiful soul on Friday, February 15, 2019. At the age of 39, Stonewall Clarence Jackson (Stoney) passed away in Billings after a lengthy battle in the hospital.
Stoney was in the paper at a few days old, being part of a “baby boom” in Wolf Point. He made the paper again at 3 when he rode a colt at a Poplar rodeo. Stoney loved his rodeo’s and was super proud of his Dad and Uncles wild horse racing, Jackson Inc.
He attended Frazer school as well as Canada and completed his grade 12, then a computer tech course in Carry the Kettle. From there he worked as a seismographer which he loved as he travelled to many places for his job.
Stoney was diagnosed with diabetes on his 18 th birthday which caused multiple health issues up to his last hours.
He became a father which was his passion, making birthdays, Christmas and all holidays special for the loves of his life, Tony Ray, Jimmy James and Dreya Kateri, who are with their mother (Mary Campbell). Their Grandparents Dave and Leigh that loved and cared for Stoney like a son.
The loss of his other Mom Toni Jackson deeply affected Stoney as did the loss of his grandma Mary Hayes who he loved with all of his heart. The loss of his other half, his sparring partner, his sidekick, the best uncle, his bro Jordie was immense. I know Jordie is wrapping his wings around Stoney welcoming him home.
Stoney was the oldest of 4 and is survived by his mother Keitha Adams; sister Talisa Eashappie (nephews Kellan and Nyjah); brother Tyrell Eashappie, the loves of his life his children Tony Ray, Jimmie James and Dreya Kateri; aunties Mary Sue Jackson and Wilberta Toavs; uncles Arthur Adams and Garth Adams; his one and only niece Maddie Sioux and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles from Canada and Frazer.
Stoney is preceded in death by his grandparents Ewen and Alice Adams and Gus and Mary Hayes (whom he loved with all of his heart); father Indian Jackson; aunt Rosalyn Toni Jackson (his other mom); uncles Emerson Jackson, James Jackson, Wilbert “Chief” Jackson, Leon “Demon” Adams, Cyril Adams, Brian Adams, Bernie Adams; aunt Vivian Adams.
