Shirlene Ann Gleed, Tad’e Ta’Ga Wiya “Big Wind Woman”, age 73, of Frazer, Montana passed away at the Faith Lutheran Home on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Wolf Point, Montana.
Shirlene was born on December 2, 1945 to Gae and Andrew Fourstar Sr. in Wiota, Montana. She met and married the love of her life, Harold Gleed, when she was 15 years old, on January 16, 1961. They were married for 52 years before Harolds passing in 2013. Shirlene enjoyed playing bingo, she had her spot at the table where she always sat at the Silverwolf casino. She avidly played every day that there was a game. She enjoyed reading books, cooking meals, baking anything, and most importantly watching her grandchildrens’ sporting events and visiting with family and friends.
Shirlene is survived by her sister, Arlene “Bugzy” Jackson; brother Andrew Fourstar Jr.; daughters, Anna Gleed of Bixby, OK, Chrystal (Sabrina) Firemoon of Atlanta, GA, Gaydella (Pat) Brunelle of Wolf Point, MT, and adopted daughter, Janeen Firemoon of Frazer, MT; son, Harold Gleed Jr of Deer Lodge, MT; grandchildren Theresa Minick, Collins Reddog, Juanita Yarns, Yolanda Zarza, Dustin Reddog, Jordan Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Hailey Brunelle, and Samantha Brunelle; great-grandchildren Tanner, Kallie, Sierra, Kaydin, Katie, Phoenix, Adrienne, Noelani, Avery, Liam, Jase, Lilly, Hunter, and Ryder.
She was prededed in death by her beloved husband, Harold Gleed Sr.; parents, Gae and Andrew Fourstar; sons, Kurt Gleed and Dale Gleed; daughter Valerie Gleed; sisters, Norma Plante, Ernestine “Ernie” Jackson, Irene Runsthrough, Darlene “Speezy” Gray, and brothers, Bill Sharp, Clair Fourstar, and Dallas Fourstar.
A four day feast will be held at noon on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Wolf Point Community Hall.A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Frazer, Montana. A lunch will follow the burial at the Wolf Point Community Hall.
