Sandra Birthmark “Medicine Helper Woman”, age 70, went home to be with the creator on July 19, 2025. She was born to Eunice Alfrey and Clarence Birthmark on August 26, 1954 in Poplar, MT. She was raised in Fort Kipp later moving to Brockton then Poplar. She was a part of the Bad Temper Bear Clan
She loved attending church, pow wows, family gatherings when she could. In her early days she sang with her mother and two sisters with their drum group. She loved to travel and meet new people and have a good conversation. She loved to visit on the phone and pray for loved ones, relatives, friends when they upon. She enjoyed a good TV program and drink a good pop and ice cream. She liked to make a joke here and there. Always ready to listen and give advice where she could. She brought comfort to those in need.
Sandra is survived by niece Jonnie (Robert) Harrington; grandsons Jeramy Harrington, Joshua Harrington; sister-in-law Rose Morsette; niece Leanda (Chad) Cashman; grandsons Mark Eder, Michael Eder, Danny Eder, William Chopper; niece Heather Demko and family, niece Jennifer (Colton) GrayHawk and her daughters Lilya Sage and Oaklee Renee; nephew Sheldon Pinkerton, niece Debra Hapa and family; nephew Richard (Jackie) Chase; granddaughter Chelsea Chase; grandson Dickie Chase; nephew Nathan Chase Sr.; grandson Nathan Chase Jr.; great grandsons Adiene Spotted Elk, Nathan Spotted Elk; grandson Lance (Toni) Chase and kids; nephew James Chase and daughters Shannon and Shauna Chase; nephew Robert (Jamie) Birthmark and family; nephew Willie Birthmark and family; niece Michelene FastHorse and family; adopted nieces and nephews Maureen (Brad) GrayHawk and family, Marie Draszt, Mavis Draszt, Jr Draszt, Alisha GrayHawk and family; good friend Al Marshall and wife.
She is preceded in death by her parents and step father Lavern Alfrey; siblings Charon Owens, Diane Chase, Lynn Birthmark, Darryl Birthmark, James Birthmark, Joyce Birthmark, Clarice Birthmark, Sheldon Birthmark, Nolan Birthmark, Kermit Birthmark; grandson Scott Harrington; brother-in-law John Morsette and nephew Lynn Curtis Birthmark, niece Claudette Chase, nephew Thomas Lynn Morsette, cousin Julian Shields.
Sandra had a lot of relatives too many to mention, sorry if we couldn’t list all of them. Just remember she loved you all.
