Russell "Boze" Corpron

March 22, 1957 — February 16, 2026

Wolf Point

Boze was born into a large family, growing up with several cousins as brother and sisters. Those included the Archdale’s, Flynn’s, Adams, Standing’s, Failing’s, Flagan’s, and Corpron’s. He also had many lifelong friends too numerous to mention.

Boze as we knew him, lived life to the fullest. From his crazy teenage years, of raising heck, to well in to his 30’s. He would try anything once, twice if he liked it. Not being one to sit still, a book can be written on is many shenanigans. These stories would not be complete without his “brother’s keeper” or his “partner in crime”, Darrell Lee. The Corpron brothers experienced life at a fierce pace completing these journeys with jobs, wives, children, grand and great grandchildren. His 7 children were his world; he lived his last years fulfilling their priorities as his first priority.

Russell was a long-time employee of the Fort Peck Housing Authority as an inspector. His presence at work was full of spunk spreading jokes and laughs daily. He worked under his boss and mentor, Clyde Bauer, who would become his trusted advisor and confident, transforming his professional potential into a career. He was loyal to his job, providing a safe and sustainable home for many reservation families. After his time at FPHA, he also inspected for Housing Improvement Program until his health forced him to retire. During this time, Russell accepted the Lord, our God, into his life and was baptized in to the Catholic faith on August 21, 2016 along with his baby girl Ali. He often referred to God, whom he prayed to several times as day, as the “big Guy upstairs”

There will never be another Boze. He was unique and his trades were that of a carpenter, mechanic, truck driver, radio jockey, electrician, plumber, to name a few but above all brother and father. He would say he was a jack of all trades but a master of none. He was also a story-telling extraordinaire and had been known to slay a few giants in his day. Boze loved his music, his treasures, and his dogs and cats. The man, the myth, the legend has officially retired.

Boze is survived by his siblings, Julie Ann, Darrell Lee, and Bill. Also surviving Boze are children, Kam, Alisha, Ashley, Alanna, Aaron, and Ali (Whisper), as well as his grandchildren, 4 grand cats and 1 grand dog.

Boze is proceeded in death by his parents, Alice Archdale Corpron and James Corpron; brothers, Chuck Kirn, Laverne Corpron, Darwin Corpron, and Virgil Corpron; sisters, Madeline Smith, Beverly Farrington, Delores Walters, and Carol Beasley; and grandson D’Andre Corpron.
