Patrick Wilkinson

February 18, 1971 — November 19, 2025

Wolf Point

Patrick Francis Wilkinson, lover of laughter and good mischief, left his earthly body on November 19, 2025. He was a long time scaredy cat of all things spooky. Despite this, his spirit will relish any opportunity to return in ghostly form for one good and final laugh. If he “owed you one”, consider yourself at the top of his “Haunt List”.

He was born on February 18, 1971, to Patricia “Pat” and Bruce Wilkinson. His life was filled with forever friendships, humor, animals, nature, and free as possible of ghosts.

In the spring of 2012, Patrick met his Vida gal, Brandi Lynn Laubach. Dear friends, Carol Hackley, Marvin and Jeff Presser, conspired to get the two together - with no objections from Brandi. He said he "got tired of running" from her, and the two started dating in October of 2012. Patrick enjoyed wooing her with pickup rides down by the river and on the back roads around Highway 528. They spent beautiful evenings fishing the Missouri, as well.

To Brandi's surprise, and everyone else's, Patrick proposed marriage down by the river one spring evening in 2014. He asked Brandi to marry him in perfect Patrick form - he said, she "better go buy a white dress." The two married on her family farm on June 13, 2015.

They settled in Wolf Point, worked, volunteered, and spent time with family as any couple would. However, in 2022, Patrick began noticing some strange issues with his balance and the use of his left arm. Those symptoms worsened, and other symptoms affecting his voice and gate began to show. Still, Patrick kept working with only one arm and strength that was disappearing.

Brandi feared the worst - seeing the same symptoms in him as she had in her dad, Lynn Laubach. On March 7th of 2023, Patrick was diagnosed with the same disease as his father-in-law - a death sentence - ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. With that, their lives were turned upside down. Patrick and Brandi agreed to keep and care for him from home for as long as possible. And that's what they did until November 7th, when Patrick was admitted to the hospital.

Patrick fought the good fight against this horrible disease with Brandi at his side. He passed peacefully on the beautiful fall morning of November 19th, 2025.

He was the family purveyor of fun and adventure. He was greatly loved by his family and will be missed always and forever.

He is survived by his wife Brandi, daughter Demi, sisters; Tacy Strand, Therese (Doug) Long, Kileen (Rusty) Hagadone, Connie (Alan) Brasher, brothers; Shaun (Teri) Wilkinson, Larry (Tyra) Wilkinson, sister-in-law; Crissy Laubach, Mother-In-Law; Sue Laubach. He is preceded in death by parents; Patricia and Bruce Wilkinson, father-in-law; Lynn Laubach.

Patrick wanted donations, in lieu of flowers, to go to the ALS Association or Wolf Point Pound Puppies.
