Michel James Red Dog was born February 18th 1994 to Arden Necklace and Arnold Red Dog Sr. in Poplar, Montana. He lived in many places during his short life including Poplar, Wolf Point, Billings, Dillion, and Ronan Montana, Spokane and Seattle Washington and Finally Fort Collins Colorado. He graduated from Montana Youth Challenge Academy in 2011 and Kicking Horse Job Corps with a degree in Heavy Machinery and Diesel mechanics in 2013. While there he met many great friends and the mother of his children Diana Medina. He then had two beautiful little girls: Nayeli, born in 2014 and Natalia in 2015 who he loved fiercely. Michel loved listening to music, playing basketball, playing video games and hanging out with his brothers who were always his best friends. Michel was an amazing son, brother, uncle and father who was taken from us too soon.
He is Preceded in death by his father Arnold Red Dog Sr., his grandmothers Bonita Red Dog Youpee and Charlotte Good Soldier, aunts Tiffani Red Dog Hale, Irene Youpee Turns Plenty, Sunni Youpee, Alphine Necklace, Vernelle Four Bear. Cousins Michel Necklace, Leroy Youpee III and his niece Bailey Red Dog.
Michel is survived by his daughters Nayeli and Natalia Red Dog, his mother Arden Necklace, His sisters: Renee(Jeremy) Bear Don’t Walk and Ryan(Joseph) Muniz, His brothers Sioux(Karis) Necklace, Arnold Red Dog JR., Lance(Rachel) Red Dog, Arnold Red Dog III, Tristen Red Dog and Bentley Red Dog. His uncles Lance Ricker and Leslie (Carsereena) Red Dog. His Maternal Grandmother Ruth Necklace, Doris “Mojo” Walking Eagle, Stephanie Little Bird, Tracy S. Ivanna McKenzie plus a number of extended family members including nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Extended relatives include: Red Dog, Ricker, Youpee, Lambert, Necklace, Follet, Starr, Savior, Bear Cub, Rhinesmith, Bearhill, Toavs, Walking Eagle, Little Bird, Fremont, Brown, Hawk, Red Eagle, Good Soldier, Felter, Turns Plenty, White Horse.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Poplar Cultural Center. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery.
