Mervol Anthony “Skee” Flynn passed away September 2, 2021 of natural causes at the Faith Luther Home in Wolf Point, MT. He was 86 years old. Skee was born October 18, 1934 to Thomas and Josephine Flynn.
When Skee was a young boy he was very sick with Meningitis, due to this illness he lost his hearing. Not one to let that hold him back, he learned how to read lips to be able to communicate. He later went to Great Falls, MT and went to school for the Deaf and Blind.
He later attended trade school and became an expert auto body mechanic. Cars were something he took immense pride in and the work he put into them. He was well known for the excellent work he provided his customers.
Among the many hobbies he had, Skee was an avid hunter and fisherman. He shared many stories with friends and family of his hunting trips and days paddle fishing.
Back in the late 80’s he decided to close up shop , retire and move to California. He loved the warm weather and planted his roots there for many years. He lived there until October 2019 when he returned to Wolf Point and became a resident of the Faith Luthern Home.
Skee is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his children Tony Redwood, Patti Flynn, Thomas “Jimmy” Flynn and Daniel Flynn
He is survived by a son Arlie Flynn , daughter Margaret Henry, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at the Oswego Catholic Cemetery in Oswego. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements and condolences for the family may be left using the form below.
