Melvin Wayne Martell went home to be with his heavenly Father on May 3, 2026.
Melvin was born on August 1, 1976, he was 49 years old. His parents were Mavis Martell and Victor “Kenny” WalkingEagle, Sr.
Melvin attended school at Wolf Point High. Melvin was the “King” for Wolf Point Prom that was the best moment he loved.
Melvin met Tonya Gallant and moved to Juneau, Alaska, from this union they had two boys, Joshua Martell and Robert Martell, who he maned after his best friend who was like a brother, Robert SwiftEagle. Melvin later moved back home from Alaska to be with his mother.
Melvin had a heart of gold. He was always there if you needed him. He would take the shirt off his back if you needed it. He would always walk and make his rounds to check on his loved ones to make sure they were okay, especially Brooke Lynn and Jennifer.
Melvin was in Blue Earth Boxing. He liked driving around jamming out, playing basketball, hanging with friends going to the lake, watching movies. Mel was full of laughter and telling stories.
Melvin is survived by his s sons, Joshua and Robert Martell; his aunties Phylis WalkingEagle, Myrna WalkingEagle, Karen Babcock, Iris Balbinot; uncle Wayne Martell, Gary Martell; brothers Vicktor WalkingEagle Jr., Kacee Garfield and sister Anna WalkingEagle.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents Kenny WalkingEagle and Mavis Martell; sister Marie; auntie Rose WalkingEagle.
He had a very large family, WalkingEagle’s, Miller’s, Lilley’s, Babcock’s, Redstone’s, Balbinot’s, Campbell’s, Azure’s, Whitright’s, Follet’s, Clancy’s and Track’s. Sorry if we forgot anyone, please accept our apology.
