Mel was a happy baby. She was a fast learner; walking by 9 months old. She was always a mama’s girl. Wherever you seen Steph, Mel was close by. If she wasn’t with her mom, she was with her siblings. She loved Noah braiding her hair in different styles. The older she got she loved to do make-up and nails.
Mel was entering the 8th grade this year. She had many friends; she would love to visit with her soft voice. If her friends weren’t around, she loved to raise heck with her brother, William. Good ‘ol siblings love. She had a heart of gold but when she needed to be she was out spoken, not only for herself but for her friends also.
Mel was just learning how to drive. Her mom and aunt Judy would take her for country rides to practice.
At the age of 4, Mel met John O Weigand. From that age on, John O was her dad. She once told John O “I know you’re not my real dad, but to me you are” same went for her little brothers, William and Bryson. Even after Steph and John O separated, they remained good friends. Tot his day John O still spent time with the kids.
Mel also loved to spend time and help her late Papa Amos Sr. Mel never got to meet her grandma Cheryl, until now who is most likely elbowing her older sister Kayliegh on who gets first hugs. Mel was a direct descendant of Bad Temper Bear. She was baptized at the Morman Church.
Mel is survived by her parents, Stephanie Cloud and John O; siblings, Cheryl (Josh) Eagle, Preston Owns Pipe, Noah Owns Pipe, Hayleigh Eagle, Sonny Owns Pipe, William Ricker Jr., Bryson Owns Pipe, and Logan Knight Cloud; fur-babies, Roseanne, Brother, Baby B, F.A., Zip, Slappy, Charlie, Zoey and Lester (as she called them); grandparents, Patsy Two Bulls and Donald “Squeak” Walking Eagle; aunts, Sandra (Collins) Owns Pipe, Vermae “Sister” Smith, Judy Falcon, Nina Wetsit, and Monica (Corey) Melbourne; uncles, Amos Cloud Jr., Joseph (Brittnay) Cloud, Dana Mireau, Thomas Smith, and Duane Smith Jr.; special friend, Justice Matthison.
