Marian Sprague, 82 went home to her Lord and Savior on January 14, 2015 at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth. Marian was born July 16, 1932 in Glasgow, Montana to Bill and Clystia Dilbeck and spent her childhood in Frazer, MT.
Marian married Jack Sprague on June 22, 1952, they had 2 children, Debbie and Patti. They raised the girls in Wolf Point. Marian was a hard worker and worked various jobs throughout her life however, her focus was always on her family. She took tremendous pride in keeping a clean home and enjoyed cooking. Her family especially remembers her fried chicken and pork chops. She made photo albums and crocheted afghans for her children and grandchildren. Marian also enjoyed playing cards, puzzles and bingo.
Marian was a baptized member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Frazer, and became a member of the Lutheran church in each town she lived in throughout her life.
Life is filled with joy and sorrows, Marian’s was no exception, the constant was always having her loving family by her side. Twice in her life she was able to participate in five generation photos first with her Mother Clystia, daughter Patti, grand daughter Sheila and great grand daughter Regan. Then this past spring George took a picture of Marian, Patti, Allison, Elizabeth and great great grandson Jaxon.
Marian is survived by her twin brother Marvin (Elly) Dilbeck of Grand Junction, CO and sisters Ruby Lingle-Moorhead of Columbia Falls, MT, Ina (Harry) Downs of Wolf Point, Connie Hanson of Seattle, WA along with her daughter Patti Crosby of Forsyth and grandchildren; Nickie Endressi of Butte, Allison (Mark) Stoltz of Red Lodge, Jason Krummel of Forsyth, Sheila (Shannon) Kautzman of Laurel, Danny (Nicole) Krummel of Miles CIty, Kris (Cheryl) Crosby of Waseca, MN, Wally and Odis Crosby of Forsyth. She had 9 great grand children and 1 great great grandchild. Marian had numerous nieces and nephews and half brothers/sisters whom she dearly loved. When Patti & George married she quickly “adopted” and loved the Crosby children as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Sprague, brother Mel Dilbeck, sister Bertha Dilbeck and an infant brother, her daughter Debbie and grandson Shawn Sprague and son-in-law George Crosby.
Marian’s family will always remember her sharp wit, her mastery of flirting and the mouthwatering meals always seasoned with love.
Burial will be held at a later date. It was Marian’s wish was to be buried next to her daughter and grandson in Wolf Point. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Forsyth Senior Center, the Wolf Point /Forsyth Lutheran Churches or a charity of your choice.
