Margaret Hernandez

Margaret Florence Hernandez, Anpetu Wakan Wiyan, indian name Holy Day Woman or Sunday Woman as she put it was born November 18, 1978 and went on her journey October 30, 2025. Margaret was born to Carmen A. Hernandez Jr. and Mavis Scott Hernandez. Adopted mother Annabelle Jones and Margaret took Robert “Bobby” Youpee as adopted father.

Margaret attended Poplar Schools where she participated in wrestling, football and basketball. She went to state for Poplar High School for wrestling. Margaret enjoyed listening to music, watching Orlando play horseshoes, Mason playing basketball, and visiting/gossiping about her kids/family members/friends. Margaret was a fan of the University Montana Grizzlies and a supporter of the United States Marine Corps. In honor of her brothers Chad Hernandez, Conrad Scott & Jimmy John Chase. Margaret will be missed dearly by all who really knew her.

Margaret survived by her children: Damon Menz (Marius Jackson), Artie Crazybull Menz (Ryan & Rita Menz) mason menz, Lance Menz, Jessi Menz, Karmen Menz, Mabel Menz, Winter and Aurora Starr. Adopted children Malcolm Goodbird Jr., Jeremy Longee Jr., Dewayne Shoots Jr. and many other adopted children, sorry we forgot to mention you. A wake will be held on Monday, Nov. 10th at 7 pm, funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11th at 10 am all at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery.
