Lucille E. Solheim, age 92, passed away in Wolf Point on September 5, 2025.
Lucille Effie was born to Robert Schneider and Hazel (Billingsley) Reid on April 17, 1933, in Ekalaka, MT.
Lucille married Doug Young and became the proud mother of her son Robert (Sandra) Solheim. Later, she found love again when she married Arnie Solheim. She gained four children Gary (Karen) Solheim, Sharron (Jerry) Fossum, Dona Solheim, and Paula (Mick) Morrison. Together they had two daughters, Carmen (Pat) Espinoza, and Julie (Forever Son-in-law Duane) Nygaard.
Lucille spent much of her life as a bookkeeper, a career that reflected her keen attention to detail and steady reliability. Beyond her professional life, her greatest joy was her family.
Creative at heart, Lucille delighted in every kind of craft. She had a gift for making handmade treasures that became cherished keepsakes for family and friends. Her hands were rarely still, always busy stitching, painting, or creating something meaningful. In her later years, she enjoyed volunteering at the local museum.
Lucille had a playful yet competitive spirit that came alive around a card table or game board. Whether it was bridge or pinochle with friends, whist with family, or board games with her grandchildren, she always kept everyone on their toes. Her presence turned family gatherings into lively events, filled with laughter and friendly rivalry.
Lucille will be remembered for her creativity and love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the traditions she nurtured, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her son Robert, her daughters Dona, Paula, and Julie, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
She is preceded in death by her son Gary, daughters Sharron and Carmen, and grandson Payden.
