Lawrence “Buzz” Patrick Granbois, 70, passed away on May 15, 2025 in Great Falls, MT at the Park Place Health Center. Buzz was born on October 6, 1954 to Edna and Ernie Granbois from Poplar, MT.

He was raised by his parents in Poplar, attended grade school and high school in Poplar. After high school he joined the Army. He was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he went through Airborne training. Upon returning to Poplar he met and fell in love with Debra Schafer, they were married on September 1, 1975 they had 3 children, Rick, Beau, Alicia. Buzz remarried several times and had 2 children more children Cheri and Layla with 14 grandchildren from his children. Buzz attended college in Havre and the Fort Peck Community College.

Throughout his life he worked in the oilfield as a police officer, drove trucks, worked at various tribal jobs. In his spare time, he worked on cars.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Sr., sister Cheri, granddaughter Anastazia, numerous lifelong friends and family.

He is survived by his mother Edna Strauser, sister Erna and brother Ernest Jr., 13 grandchildren, numerous cousins.
