John Alan Douglas left on his spiritual journey on July 27, 2020 with family by his side in Salt Lake City, Utah. John Alan Douglas was born March 3, 1960 to Joseph Douglas and Christina Davis in Poplar, Montana.
John spent his younger years with family, then at Eastomont Training Center in Glendive, Montana until he came back to Wolf Point, Montana and graduated from Wolf Point High School. John then held numerous jobs in Wolf Point and Great Falls, Montana. John was always willing to work. He left Wolf Point for numerous years and when he came back in 2016 he started cleaning the Wolf Point arbor and from there he continued to clean the Wolf Point area parks and other areas that needed cleaning. John was not paid to do this and he never asked for pay, he came back to Wolf Point and made a job for himself which he did every day of the week faithfully until January 2018 when he became ill. He continued to ask if anyone was keeping the areas of Wolf Point clean even when he was unable to do it anymore.
John was a talented artist. He drew with pencil many pictures for people and won awards for his drawings.
John was an amazing person with a heart of gold. He was always in a positive mood wand was a blessing to be around. He faced many difficulties and hardships in his life but he always continued on with whatever life gave him… good or bad.
John never married or had any children but he had many nieces/nephews/grandchildren who loved him. John loved his family.
John is survived by sisters Louella Douglas (Michael) Contreras, Vivian D. Jones, Mildred Clancy, Melissa White Eagle; brothers Arnold (Sandy) Douglas and Jeffery Douglas; nieces Tara Douglas (Robert), Deanna (Sam) Redstar, Marta Jones, Michelle Clancy, Della Pipestem, Juanita Cantrell, Roslind Cantrell, Carla Cantrell, Georgia Dupuis, Mariah Douglas, Shaniah Douglas, Anna Crazy Bull, and Ophelia Crazy Bull; nephews Larry Francisco, Carl Douglas, William Jones, David Douglas, Justin Douglas, and JD Douglas.
John is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Leroy Douglas, Steven Douglas, William Douglas, Duane Douglas, and Jesse Douglas; sister Joanne White Eagle; nephews Clair Fourstar, Darrell Jones, Earl Jones II, Courtney Cantrell, Merle Cantrell, and Jeffery Douglas Jr.
I love you brother and we will miss you. I know you are in a better place with no more suffering; no more pain. Rest well brother, till we see you again.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point, Montana. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point, Montana. Interment will follow at Boxelder Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements and condolences for the family can be left by using the form below.
