Jaylen L. Country RedDog, age of 30, passed away on July 26, 2026. Jaylen was born on October 27, 1995, to Janelle RedDog and Paul Country.
Jaylen attended high school then decided it was not for him, then went to get his GED in 2014. Jaylen was a hard worker; he always had a job. He worked as a flagger for several companies. The one of the happiest moments of his life was when he became a dad. Sierra was his pride and joy. Jaylen had numerous friends. He especially enjoyed visiting and hanging out with his high school friends. He stayed in touch with Jeremiah Daniels, and TJ Tuttle who he took as brothers. Jaylen enjoyed going to powwows, playing video games, and listening to music. He was always down to have a good time.
He is survived by his mother, Janelle RedDog of Waseka, Minnesota; father, Paul Country of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter, Sierra; sister, Rhea (Callin) of Poplar; grandmothers, Rhea Starr of Poplar, Doris RedDog of Wolf Point, Vearlene RedDog of Minot, ND, Vermae Smith, Rhianne Iron Bear, Kya Iron Bear, Tyla Savior, Allieah all of Poplar; uncle, Wacy Savior; special aunt, Monella Hawk of Poplar; closest friends he took as brothers, William Prichard, Sheridan Stranger Horse, Jeremiah Daniels, TJ Tuttle, Marcus Red Thunder, and Chance Boyd.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Brielle RedDog; cousin, Trey Marion; great grandparents, Lawrence and Almena RedDog.
Jaylen had numerous relatives in Macy, Nebraska and Poplar. He will be dearly missed by his grandmother, Rhea Starr and his family and friends. We apologize if we forgot to mention anybody, it was not intentional. He was loved by all! Rest easy Jaylen until we meet again.
His pallbearers are William Prichard, Sheridan Stranger Horse, Jeremiah Daniels, TJ Tuttle, Chance Boyd and Francis Youngman.
A wake will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, August 6 at the Poplar Cultural Center. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 7 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the St. Ann's Cemetery in Poplar. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
