Jannica Rae WhiteTail “Chanku Wakan Mani Win” (Walks Holy Road Woman), age 32, God called her home to join her relatives in Heaven on August 13, 2019 at the Billings Clinic with her Mom at her side (after years of battling health problems).
She was born on December 7, 1986 in Poplar to Marcella Eder GreyBull and Milo B. WhiteTail. She grew up mostly in Ft. Totten, ND, Bismarck, ND and Poplar, MT. She attended the Quentin Burdick Job Corps in Minot, ND but came home to Poplar and got a job at Frostees.
In 2004, she met Myron Red Dog and they were blessed with 3 children: Myana LaRae WhiteTail, Tara Lynn and Marquez Javier Red Dog.
Jannica was a strong, unique girl. She was full of love, laughter and compassion for her kids, family and all who had the pleasure to know her. She believed in the value of family no matter where you were in her heart, she had no hate for others-only if they did her wrong. She dearly loved all her nieces, nephews and was excited to become a Grandma before leaving. For her humor, you knew how she was to make jokes, tease, embarrass you, or do something to make you laugh…you would smile because that’s her always-sick or not-laughter was her best medicine.
She is survived by her mother Marcella (Joel) GreyBull of Poplar; father Milo B. WhiteTail of Ft Totten, ND; children Myana, Tara and Marquez; step-son Zayne Ricker; sister Tiana (TJ) Day of Poplar; brothers Brian (Trudy) Eder, Sr., Milo W. Reddoor, Jr. of Wolf Point; many cousins, nieces and nephews in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington and Florida and 1 special grandson Săic Iŷe Akipa.
She walked in the Spirit world with her longtime love of her life Aaron Ricker, Sr.; maternal grandparents Mark “Buster” Eder, Jr. and Delores Scott; paternal Byron WhiteTail and Dorothy Dunn; sisters Toni Eder and Delora WhiteTail; uncles Mark III and Juan L.
