Jaimee Christie Sweet, age 20, died tragically on Monday evening, October 13, 2014 as the result of a pedestrian-automobile accident in Poplar, Montana. She was born on November 30, 1993. In Jaimee’s lifetime she had made many friends, whose lives she had touched through her funny sense of humor, awesome dance skills, individual style and just by being an amazing person. She loved skateboarding, fishing, listening to music, watching movies, running and especially hanging out with her friends and family. Jaimee also enjoyed working with her co-workers at Frostee’s and took pride in being a volunteer firefighter with the Poplar Fire Department. Most recently she was a babysitter to her niece Tallulah Day, whom she was very proud of. Jaimee’s family here in Poplar feels very blessed to have had her presence these past two years.
She is survived by her father: Christopher Sweet, of Wisconsin; her mother: Janet Sweet, of Montana; her brother and sisters: TJ Day, Corie Jade Carter and Jalen Perkins, all of Montana; her brother and sister: Justice Perkins and Falcon Derkez, of Wisconsin; two brothers: Jase Sweet and Jonathon Sweet, of Minnesota; her two grandmothers: Vina Smith of Poplar and Lenore Sweet, of Wisconsin; her grandfather Stuart Day of Arizona and many other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather: George “Bud” Sweet and her twin sister: Alex Jae Sweet.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Poplar Activity Center in Poplar, Montana. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Poplar Activity Center in Poplar, Montana. Condolences may be left for the family at www.claytonstevensonchapel.com .
