Henry Buckles, age 66, of Regina, SK, Canada passed away on June 7, 2026 in Regina.
Hank is survived by his wife of 40 yrs Virginia; his babies Tashina, Kahteri(Kahturn) and Jordan; grandbabies, Jax, Luxanna (yaya), Baby Brexton and grand cat Lexsi. His sibling's brother Dana (Judy) Buckles, sister Phoebe Blount and son Joey. Sisternlaw Bonny Maracle & son Josh, Special cousin Rowena (Cooky) Fourhorns, Linda McNabb(fav.), close cousins Robert (Bobby) (Mia) Hopkins, Deb ( lil Doozie), Penny K. Hopkins, Tracy Hopkins, Jose & Raul Figueroa, Roxann (Robert) Smith, Denise Blount, Ingrid Firemoon, Karen McNabb, Aunts; Gloria Chopper, Judy Hopkins Sarah Figueroa, Dinah Littlehead &sons,
He was predeceased by his parents, Suzanne (Joe) Jones and Raymond Buckles; parents-in-law, Yvonne Benjoe and Frank Kaiswatum; sister Corinne, brother Arlon Chapman and many others on his dad's side. Grandparents David (Eva) Hopkins, Corinne Dawson-Hopkins, Hank & Melissa Blount, Tom & Mary (Wakan) Buckles. Late uncles Robert {Pearl) Hopkins, Sr, Larry & Soloman, late aunts Brita McNabb, Louise Ell and Naomi Medicine Cloud Magee.

He often talked about and missed his friend the late Shaw Greybull & son Brian.
Hank had a lot of pride and dignity. He was a private man, honest, loyal, full of determination, loved writing poems, and had a beautiful singing voice! He was a great father, husband, Poppy, friend, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. The family wishes to inform you that Hank followed the Catholic religion as his girls were baptized by the Church, and he respected his traditional ways. With Hank's health declining over the last few years, he still took time to enjoy life to the fullest with his baby, Kahteri (Kahturn), and the babies he helped raise: Jax (Jaxsi), Luxanna (Yaya) and Baby Brexton (Bushbomb Luscious Aloysius Bixby). If you knew Hank, he was good at giving nicknames like he did with his kids, grandkids, and relatives. We will never forget the man he was, the love we shared, and We will love and miss him forever. Gone from our lives but not our hearts.
Hank's lifetime Heroes were Elvis Presley, Muhammed Ali, Joe Nameth, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Fernando Valenzuela, Hank Aaron, Oscar dela Hoya, to name a few singers: Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Freddy Fender, Los Lonely Boys, Johnny Horton and George Jones.
The family would like to thank the Fort Peck Assiniboine & Sioux Tribes for all their support in bringing our Hank home. The Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel drivers, Sybil and staff for arranging service preparations. If we failed to mention anyone, we apologize.
Visitation will start at 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18 at the Frazer Community Hall with interment to follow at the Oswego Presbyterian Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
