Frederick Francis Crowe, age 43, of Brockton, MT passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 in Poplar, MT. He was born on November 24, 1969.
He lived in Brockton most of his life, and also attended school there. He graduated from Four Winds High School in Fort Totten, ND. Fred worked 4 years at the Jungle Gym Daycare and A&S Industries in Poplar. He also was maintenance for the town of Brockton and was a seasonal firefighter. He enjoyed playing basketball, horseshoes, and listening to music. He loved his nieces and nephews; his nieces always asked “Where’s Uncle Fred?” He was always teasing, and joking with family and friends. He loved passing out candy on Halloween.
He is survived by his mother, Lois Long Tree of Brockton; adopted mother, Ethelene White Hawk of Brockton; sons, Tyson and Kyle Crowe of Grand Forks, ND; daughter, Alexandria Crowe of Fort Totten, ND; granddaughters, Meleina Nichole and Kayliegh Fast Horse; brothers, Eugene and Stacy Crowe of Brockton, Stanley Long Tree of Poplar, and Matthew Long Tree of San Francisco, CA; sisters, Carolyn Long Tree and Sherry DeMarrias both of Brockton and Mary Lou Azure of Poplar; grandmothers, Euadna Running Bear of Poplar, and Gladys First of Wolf Point; grandfather, Joe Jones of Oswego; aunts, Connie (Ed) Smith of Riverside, MT, Dee and Dolly Crowe, Pauline Lewis, and Martha Black Dog all of Fort Kipp, Roberta, Connie, Doris and Juanita Bird all of Brockton, Donna Crowe Youngman, and Thelma Jones of Poplar, Bernadette Wind of Brockton, Millie First of Wolf Point, and LaVerne Feather of Fort Totten; uncles, Stanley Crowe, Curt and David Lewis, Smooth, Bugsy, Allie, Rusty, and Krambo Walking Eagle all of Brockton, Evert Jones of Poplar, Melvin Feather, and Eugene Hale of Fort Totten, Bobo Sherman of New Town, ND, Del, Tuffy, and Wayne First all of Fort Kipp; special cousins, Theresa Sun Rhodes of Poplar, Cheryl, Rob, and Les White Hawk of Riverside, Sheila and Johnana Grey Bull of Poplar; and a special friend, Lorna Martin of Poplar.

A vigil service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 6 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Riverside, MT.
