Doreen “Ding” as us sisters and brothers knew her, was born in Poplar to George and Lois Ferguson on July 29, 1963.
She lived all her life in Poplar. Doreen was a very caring, loving person, who helped anyone in need, when she could. Her most joy in life was her grandchildren. Doreen worked at Ole’s Floral Shop, college and housekeeper for Dr. Shanley. She did the best she could with what she had. She loved hard, cared hard, lived hard but she always told you to take care and that she loved you.
She is survived by her daughter Amber (Ed) LeMay; sons George (Grayson) Montclair, Ezra (Ezra Jr., Nancy); grandchildren Damita, Danyell, Deah, Dorreen, Reuben, Doree’Ann BlackDog; great grandkids Abel James Ironleggins, Royalty Ironleggins, Raiden, Lycette, Skylar; sisters Carlene, Ava (Wayne), Connie (Faron), Jordis; brothers Leslie (Faye), Billy; grand dog Skidmark.
Doreen is preceded in death by granddaughter Dassani BlackDog; parents George and Lois; sisters Jeri Lynn, Rose Mary (Posie), Sandi (Bill), Jake (Beth); nieces Kristen and Barrie; nephews Wayne Jr., Lane Frost.
She took a lot of people and children as grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, cousins, auntie and uncles. We will miss you, but we know you are at rest and in no more pain. Until we meet again!
