Darlene Longee

Darlene Fern Longee passed away from this life into the presence of Jesus Christ at Billings Clinic on Monday December 20, 2021.
Darlene was born October 26, 1938 to Ethel Buckles and Ernest Longee at the Poplar hospital in Poplar, MT. She grew up in the Riverside and Poplar, MT. areas.
Mom was loving and caring person (even if she didn’t always show it).
Darlene worked as a nursing assistance and CNA most of her adult life. (Glasgow, MT., Poplar, MT., and Wolf Point, MT.) She retired in 1994 from the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point, MT.

Darlene lived at the Faith Lutheran Home, since November 2020.
Later in her life Mom accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. She took Christianity very seriously. She attended Mr. Danny Lindsay’s church for many years, her and Danny remained very close friends up until her passing.
Some of the things that mom love was reading her Bible, having and going to Bible study, watching old western movies, game shows, and crossword puzzles. She also loved taking care of all her house plants.

Darlene is survived by her son Lee (Yvette) Blackhoop, Jr. of Poplar, MT.
Daughters: Elizabeth Blackhoop of Poplar, MT., Pauline (Tiny) Cody of Laurel, MT., Francine (Russell) Boxer of FT. Kipp, MT., Brandy (Joe) Longee of Poplar, MT.
Brothers: Lawrence (Bert) Longee of Toppenish, WA., Maynard (Rose) Longee of Poplar, MT.
Half -Sister: Joy Whitehawk of Haver, MT.
Grandchildren: Mathius Blackhoop of Greatfalls, MT., Matho and Russell Blackhoop of Poplar, MT., Richard ( Martelle) Cantrell of Wolf Point, MT., Nina Cantrell of Billings, MT., Billie jo Blackhoop of Poplar, MT., Thomas Arthur of Poplar, MT., Gerald and Germaine Jackson of Poplar, MT., Anthony Shields, Jr. of Poulson, MT., Mikkel Shields of Laurel, MT., Zachary (Damica) Dionne, Joshua Dionne, Mariah Dionne all of Wolf Point, MT., Mandee ( Garrett) Paulson of Bismarck, ND., Kristian Erickson, Casey, and Brandon Walla all of Poplar, MT.,
Numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Darlene is preceded in death by her Parents: Ethel and Ernest Longee.
Grandparents: Julia Brughier, and Thomas Buckles.
Sister: Diane Longee.
Brothers: Ernest John Longee, Arthur and Russell Longee, and Melvin (Dennis) Scott.
Daughter: Lori Ellen Blackhoop.
Son’s: Rodney and Brian Blackhoop.
Aunt’s: Violet, Rebbeca and Pearl Hopkins.
Niece: Kimberly Greybull.
Nephew: Brian Greybull.
Grandchildren: Ryan Buckles, Brent and Paul Morales.

Our deepest apologies to anyone we have forgot to mention as Mom had numerous families, relatives, and friends.
Darlene was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, granny, and friend. She will be greatly missed but not forgot. Her memories and love will always remain in our hearts.
We love and miss you Momma, we know you are in heaven with Grandma, Grandpa, and our siblings.

. Funeral services will be held on January 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Poplar. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery.
