Curtis Allen Menz, Jr. “P-Nut”, age 40, of Bismarck, North Dakota passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 in Bismarck.
P-Nut was born on June 4, 1985 with twin brother “Big M” to “Sadie” Wanda Smith and “Baby Allen” Curtis Menz Sr. in Poplar, MT where he lived the majority of his life.
P-Nut loved to tease at work with co-workers, friends and family. He loved spending time with his family and friends when he could and would always try to help where and when he could. P-Nut was a soft-hearted and kind person that always looked towards the positive side of everything. He loved to travel to pow-wows and listen to Mandaree, Northern Cree and Black Lodge. P-Nut enjoyed being at sweats and practicing his cultural way of life. He enjoyed his sobriety and speaking to others at meetings, making new friends along the way. He worked hard to obtain his sobriety coins and was working on getting his GED, driver's license and becoming independent. He enjoyed his time at Good Road Recovery.
P-Nut is loved dearly and will be missed.
His is survived by Terrie and Gordon Blake, Gwendolyn Claymore, Joleen Fox, Sharon Smith, Missy Bearcub, Georgie Smith, Noel Burshia, Billy Burshia, Scott Burshia, Thomas Burshia, James Bighorn, Julia Young, Jonelle White, Lester Menz Sr., Irvin and Keith Olson.
P-Nut is preceded in death by grandparents, Virginia Smith and Everett Browning Sr, Lillie Smith, Raquel Young, John Menz, John Smith and Nellie WhiteHawk, Jenny Lester and Gabrielle Young.
