Curtis Lewis, born on June 15, 1961, in Poplar, MT, passed away on September 14, 2025, in Brockton, MT. He lived a fulfilling life, earning his education at Brockton High School, graduating in 1979, and furthering his studies at SIPI, where he received his Electrical Engineer Certification. Curtis dedicated his career to working at West Electronics and at Ho-Chunk Casino.
Curtis had a love for the outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing. He enjoyed cruising and frequently spent time listening to music with his family and friends, creating lasting memories along the way.
He is survived by his beloved sister, Pauline Lewis; his brother, David Lewis; and his son, Ben Wind (Eugene Mckay). Additionally, he leaves behind numerous relatives including Birds, Walking Eagle, Jones, Fast Horse, Blackdogs, Whitehawks, Winds, Longees, Crowes, and Melbournes. The family acknowledges that if we have failed to mention someone, it was not our intention.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gladys Lewis; his brothers, Stanley (Poncho), Stanley (Jinx), Theodore (Mitty), and William; his sister, Lois Longtree; as well as numerous relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.
A Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar, MT on September 22, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Following this, a Mass will take place on September 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at the church. His burial will follow at Riverside Catholic Cemetery.
Curtis Lewis will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
