Clair Fourstar

January 14, 1982 — July 5, 2019

Clair Fourstar (Wichaxbi Doba Tatanya)left to the spirit world on June 27, 2019.  Clair Fourstar was born on January 14, 1982 in Wolf Point, Montana to Louella Douglas and Clair Fourstar Sr.   His Paternal grandmother Gae Camp Fourstar, Paternal grandfather Andrew Fourstar Sr., His maternal grandmother Christina Davis Douglas, maternal grandfather Joseph Douglas.

Clair spent his younger years in Wolf Point and later moved to Bismarck, ND with his mother and brother. He later came back to Wolf Point and met Alexandria Romero.  They had two children together and went their separate ways but remained friends.  Clair married Heather Moreno. They later divorced but remained friends.

Clair received his GED and worked different jobs throughout his life. He loved his children and was proud of them as Ruth just graduated High School and that his son Jesse was taller than him.  He was close to his mother who loved him dearly as she raised him and his brother as a single mother. When he was a young child he always wanted his mother to feed people that came to visit.  He loved animals and was always bringing home salamander, gophers, stray cats, rabbits, dogs(that he always wanted to name “Duke”) He loved being around his family and helping people.  He was proud of his tradtional ways, he was in a drum group in Bismarck when he was in grade school and loved listening to Lakota/Dakota songs. He like playing chess, video games, fishing with his kids.  He was generous and had a good heart for his people.  He was also a good cook and learned to make the best yeast fry bread.

His survived by his mother Louella Douglas(Michael) Contreras, his children Ruth Fourstar, Jesse Fourstar, Clarence Fourstar. His brother Larry Francisco, Loren Francisco, Carl Douglas. His sister Tara (Robert) Douglas, Lissa Peterson.   He considered Brandy Jackson his sister, Steven Douglas Jr. his brother.  His uncles Arnold Douglas, John Douglas, Jeffery Douglas, Andrew Fourstar,  his aunts Vivian Jones, Mildred Clancy, Melissa White Eagle, Rose Morsette, Agnes Ward, Shirlene Gleed, Florence Fourstar.  Nephew: Timothy Hotomanie, Brad Fourstar, Chad Fourstar, Trey Fourstar, Jonathan Runs Through,  niece Lateshia Hotomanie, Tameka Azure, Lana Fourstar,  cousins: Deanna (Sam)Redstar, WilliamJones, Marta Jones, Michelle Clancy, David Douglas, Mariah Douglas, Shaniah Douglas, Justin Douglas, JD Douglas, Victor Fourstar Jr., Marvin Bull Chief, Marva Bull Chief, Emoree Gray, Della Pipestem, Juanita Cantrell, Roslind Cantrell, Georgia Dupius, Carla Cantrell, Anna Crazy Bull, Ophelia Crazy Bull, Isaac Miller, Gaydella Brunelle, Anna Gleed, Harold Gleed Jr., Clair had a big family from the  Fourstar family, Runs Through, Small/Plante, Gleed, Bull Chief, Jackson, Douglas family and the No Breast families, Eagle Boy, Red Eagle, Iron Bear, Johnson,

Clair was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, brother Lawrence Francisco Jr., uncles: Leroy Douglas, Steven Douglas Sr., William Douglas, Duane Douglas, Jesse Douglas, Dallas Fourstar, Aunts: Joann White Eagle, Ruby Runs Through, Norma Plante, Arlene Jackson,Darlene Gray, Ernestine Jackson, Irene Runs Through,

We love you Clair. We will remember you forever. We pray for your journey. I was blessed in having you for a son and will be forever grateful the creator gave you to me for all these years. You were my world.  Rest well son.
