Wolf Point

Calvin Eugene Neubauer passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, in his apartment at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point. Cal was born on September 22, 1929, to John and Matilda Neubauer at his aunt’s farmstead near McCabe. He grew up on their family farm south of Wolf Point in McCone County. Cal was the youngest of four brothers. He attended country schools in the community through the eighth grade and graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1948. Following graduation, he began farming the family farm with his brother, John Jr. During that time, he met and, in 1952, married Alice Hentges, and they began their life together of 71 years, raising their three sons: Kim, Wes, and Brad. Cal and Alice continued to live on their farm until 2020.

In his earlier years, Cal enjoyed elk hunting trips, snowmobiling, fishing, and camping with family and friends. He also enjoyed watching baseball, especially his favorite team, the Dodgers. Cal was active in the local Farmers Union and served on its board of directors for several years. In later years, Cal and Alice would spend winters in Arizona, where they made many new friends.

Cal was preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers, Don Olson, Bob Olson, and John Jr., his wife, Alice, and his son, Wes. He is survived by sons Kim (Melanie), Brad (Rita), daughter-in-law Connie, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nephews and nieces.
