Candice Birdhat

November 9, 1979 — September 8, 2024

Candice Renee Birdhat- Eagle Trail Woman-was born in Wolf Point, Montana on November 9, 1979 to Carmen Welch and Clinton Birdhat. Candice took her journey home to Creator on September 8, 2024 at the age of 44.

Candy lived the majority of her life in Frazer, Montana where she was very closely bonded with her loved ones. From the time she was a little girl, Candy’s fun loving nature was very evident. She loved to tease and laugh with her friends and family. She attended elementary school in Frazer and some high school. Most of her days were spent playing outside with her brothers and her many friends. During her time spent in school she was a very talented athlete, excelling in cross country and track.

In 1997 she married Phillip Fourstar Jr and they made their home in Germany. They had two children together, Griffin and Hallee. They returned home to Frazer and later divorced. In 2004 Candice met and entered a relationship with Leroy Friskey, two years later they welcomed their son Shane to the family. They eventually separated but remained cordial.

Candice, along with her family, was a small business owner, Candy’s Concession. Their travels were many and the memories they shared with her are priceless. Candy’s Concession was well known throughout the pow-wow circuit. The lines were long and the work was hard but the time with family was worth it.

Candice’s life was short, only 44 years, but the impact she made on others will be felt forever. Her sense of humor and laughter will never be forgotten. She was a happy go lucky individual with an adventurous spirit. Candice’s generosity and kindness for others is truly unforgettable, she wouldn’t hesitate to help anyone in need. Her biggest joy was her children and family, and the void she leaves behind is immense.
