Blossom Rochelle Longee, 62, of Poplar, MT, passed away on February 24, 2026. Born on May 28, 1963, with a significant heart condition, she survived six open-heart surgeries by the age of six, proving herself to be a true warrior from the very beginning.
Blossom was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and her unshakeable resolve. Her kind heart, vivacious laugh, and her faithfulness to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a movie buff (everything 'John Travolta') and a fanatic for 80s music (Especially 'Prince', & 'Journey'). She found great joy in dancing, soap operas, game shows, board games, and shared coffee time (lots of coffee!). She also loved playing bingo and darts with friends, cracking jokes, and surrounded herself with family and friends. Blossom was a tenacious individual who never gave up, even in the face of challenges.
Born, & raised in the East Bay Area, California, Blossom graduated from Arroyo High School (Class of '81) and Boston Reed College. She thrived in her career as a medical professional (M.A., Phlebotomist, PRC), working alongside her mother, Sharon Hollow-Vierra, for many years. In 2010-11, she moved to Poplar, MT, to be closer to her father, Ernest "John" Longee. Most recently, she enjoyed her work as a paraprofessional at Poplar Elementary School. Although she was told her life would be short, limited, and childless, she defied all odds and became a true miracle.
She leaves behind a loving legacy through her children: George Ernest Nichols Jr., Darren Melbourne, Melody Nichols, and Erica Fragoza; her grandchildren, Angel Brito, Adalee Fragoza, and Kindred Fragoza. She is also survived by her stepfather, Adrian Vierra; her brother Ernest "Rowdy" Longee-Vierra and sister-in-law, Clarissa Vierra; her nephews and niece, Jonathan, Lorenzo, and Alessia Vierra; and her Uncle Maynard Longee; first cousins Carolyn and Jay Brugh and Larry Longee Jr., She will be deeply missed by her many beloved relatives and friends throughout the Fort Peck Indian Reservation and the Bay Area. We sincerely apologize for any names omitted during this difficult time.
