Poplar, Montana

Bailey Ryan Day, Chante Yukan Wican “Kind Hearted Gentle Man” was born in Great Falls, MT on August 5th, 1998 to Michelle Day and Lewis P. Magnan. He was born a fraternal twin, with his sister, Jordan. Bailey attended Poplar Schools and graduated from Poplar High School in 2016. In 2017, he earned his Associate degree in Accounting from Fort Peck Community College. He then continued his education at Montana State University–Northern, graduating in 2022 with his Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Bailey was a very smart and hardworking man who took pride in his education and career. Bailey loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Adopted Mom Lanette and Adopted Dad Dewey Loegering. He also cherished the time he spent with his adopted brother A.J. Hollom Jr, and friends Danny Eder, Michael Eder, Jeffrey Berger Jr., Hunter Burshia, and Amon Barry.

Bailey was a caring, gentle, kind-hearted man who wore his heart on his sleeve. He was the kind of person who always cared about others and wanted to make sure everyone was okay and doing well. Bailey was quiet unless you knew him personally, and those who knew him knew his gentle spirit, selflessness, humor, and loving heart. He was truly one of the good ones.

Bailey loved playing on the PC he built himself. He loved spending time with his family, laughing, making jokes, and most of all, teasing his two sisters. His family meant everything to him.

Throughout his short life, Bailey held a few jobs. His first job was at Andy’s All in One, followed by Whoa Nellie Deli. He later worked as a Gaming Technician for the Fort Peck Tribes, before becoming a Financial Specialist with ASWRSS. Bailey especially loved being a father. He adored his children and loved them with everything he had.

Bailey was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandpa Joseph Day; grandpa Stuart Day; Auntie Annette Day; cousin Jaimee Sweet; grandpa Joel Lemke; grandpa Edward H. Smith; paternal grandpa Lewis A. Magnan; great-grandma Hazel Three Stars; great-grandpa Harry Three Stars Sr.; and adopted grandpa Frank Gourneau Jr.

Bailey is survived by his beloved children, Ryleigh Day and Archer Day; mother of his children, Anessa Day; his mother and father, Michelle Day and Lewis P. Magnan; adopted mom Lanette (Dewey) Loegering; his sisters Taylor Day and twin sister Jordan Day; Mandi Magnan; brothers Devin Magnan, Lewis P. Magnan, and Joshua Greybear; adopted brother A.J. Hollom Jr; Our Bree Brown; Nanna Vina Smith; grandmother Marylu Azure; adopted grandma Haven Gourneau; Aunties Janet and Dorothy Day, Ida Lynn Fast Horse, Keena (Jose) Figueroa, Melissa (Jeff) Berger, Brandy Smith, and Erin Ricker; Uncles Johnny and David Magnan, and Wesley “Showtime” Brown; God-Mother Sasha Brownlee; cousins Tommy Joe Day, Jade Berry, Justice Perkins, Jalen (McKeelen) Perkins, Falcon Derkaz, Brock Day, RJ (Teila) Whitehawk, Tessa White Hawk, and Jori White Hawk; nephew Nikko Day; niece Zoie Day; and numerous other cousins, relatives, and loved ones.

Bailey’s gentle heart, quiet strength, humor, and unconditional love for his children and family will never be forgotten. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and, most importantly, through his children, whom he loved more than anything.

Rest peacefully, Bailey. You will always be loved, always be missed, and will never be forgotten.
