Audrey Bear died at the Blackfeet Care Center in Browning, MT on June 1, 2013. Audrey died of natural causes and was 73 years old. She was an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Tribes.
Audrey was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Ferguson of Wood Mountain; father, Edward Bear of Chelsea; brother, Joseph Ferguson Bear; and her only son, Harold Edwin Bear. All her family members are buried in the Chelsea Cemetery.
She is survived by her sisters, Iva Dean of New Town, ND, Margaret Mathias of Great Falls, MT, and Almeta Boxer of St. Paul, MN; brother, Wilfred “Max” Bear of Wolf Point; granddaughters, Starla and Patty Bear of Wolf Point; and grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
The Bear family would like to extend a grateful thank you to the staff members at the Blackfeet Care Center for taking such good care of our sister, Audrey Bear.
An evening service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point with Wilfred “Max” Bear officiating. Interment will follow at the Chelsea Cemetery in Poplar.
