Arlene Jackson

July 30, 1947 — November 6, 2020

Arlene Rae (Four Star) Hall Jackson, Zitgá Zo “Whistling Bird”, age 73, of Wolf Point, MT, a Hudesana (red Bottom) from Frazer, MT, left this life to be with the Lord on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Faith Lutheran Home.  Arlene “Bugzy” was the last sister of the Four Star girls.

Arlene was born on July 30, 1947 at Wiota, MT into a large family.  She was the 9 th child born to Andrew and Gae Camp Four Star.  Her older sister, Ruby Four Star RunsThrough, told her daughters the story the day Bugzy was born.  “It was a hot July day and the front door was left open.  I was with Grandma Lodgepole in the living room and someone was with Mom in another room.  There were others also sitting around waiting to hear the new baby when a big blue heron landed outside and walked right into the house, it looked around, went to the door Mom was in then turned around, walked back outside, then flew away and shortly after Bugzy was born.  They liked to tease Bugzy, that the blue heron delivered her that day instead of the stork.”

Arlene was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. She lived and went to school in Frazer.  She met and married Elwood Gene Hall and from this union 4 children were born: Cynthia Rae Hall, Lisa Hall, Elwood Hall, Jr., Lupe Hall Hernandez St. Germaine, they later divorced.  She also lived in Moses Lake, WA, while her Mom and most of her sisters lived out there.  She met and married Darrell W. Jackson and from this union 3 children were born: Darrell Jackson, Sr., Cody Jackson, Holt Wade Jackson, also added to the family were 2 adopted sisters: Terry Jackson, Chrissy Jackson.

Later in life Arlene moved to Wolf Point and spent time with family, friends and her grandchildren.  She was a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, made and sold delicious raisin frybread, frybread, gabubu bread, pacos, burritos and drymeat.  She passed this talent onto her daughters and sons.

Arlene is survived by 1 brother: Andrew Four Star, Jr. of Frazer, MT, 6 children: Cynthia Rae Hall, Lupe St. Germaine, Darrell Jackson, Jr., Chrissy Martell, all of Wolf Point, MT; Elwood Hall Jr. of Hurlong, CA and Terry of Billings, MT, grandchildren: Justice, Justin, Joshlyn, Jesse, Gabriella, Elvis Follet III, Isiah Follet, Devin Hall, Darrell Jackson III, Justin and Nicole White, Natasha Jackson, Little Holt Jackson Jr., Angel, Memphis, Charmaine Jackson, Angelica Hall and Jazymn.
